On 20th July 2019, a parachuter alerted the Cave Rescue trapped in a tree. We kept in touch with him by phone. He said he was somewhere near Kesztölc about 20 meters high, and he could not come down on his own.

Two member of Cave Rescue live closest to the scene departed first by car and then put the necessary equipment in their backpacks and hiked to the sufferring one.

The paraglider was able to send GPS coordinates, so it was relatively easy to find. Without the coordinated the search would have been significantly more difficult. Arriving at the scene, it turned out that it is in a rather unfortunate place, surrounded by rotten trees. Reaching him requires serious rope technology solutions.

In the meantime, it is completely dark. In these case our high-performance caveman headlamps are always useful.

On Friday night, several of us were preparing to watch the lunar eclipse, but life didn’t just intervene with the cloudy capital sky….

On Thursday afternoon, July 26^th, 2018, a paraglider “A level” pilot flew in Óbuda.  An airlift found along the slope began to slam the ears of his parachute over his head - he lost considerable height while solving the problem. Before his dome had been stabilized, he got stuck in the trees near the panoramic road on the side of Hármashatár-hegy Hill, a few hundred meters from the Óbuda landing area.

After a successful self-rescue and an unsuccessful attempt to recover his dome, the pilot asked a cave rescue colleague, our friend to help remove the parachute he had left there for the night.

On Saturday afternoon, July 21th , 2018, two paraglider pilots were having trouble at the Kétágú-hegy hill starting point on the border of Kesztölc city.

At the starting points of the area, everyone tried to fly in difficult and often challenging weather conditions, thus for each take-off and every 10 minutes they flew, the pilots had to work hard all day. At 17:10, due to conditions that suddenly became unfavorable, a pilot fell into the trees near the take-off area immediately after departure.

The companions of the unfortunate pilot immediately and directly notified the Hungarian Cave Rescue Service based on the alert list found on www.caverescue.hu. After the departure of the cave rescue team, around 17:20, another 30-year-old woman pilot was forced to land among the trees due to an unexpected downstream.

On July 14, 2018, at around 12:20, a paraglider got into trouble shortly after taking off from the start point at Vértesszőlős. In the  windy weather, an unexpectedly strong current blew him away  the pilot landed on top of a tree in the forest below. He had no injuries and was able to notify the competent authority of the Free Flyers Association. At 12:28, the Free Flyers Association asked the Hungarian Cave Rescue Service (BMSZ) to help rescue the pilot and the paraglide.

BMSZ arrived at the border of Vértesszőlős at 15:40 on the landing meadow used by paragliding athletes with two cave rescuers, an off-road vehicle, mountaineering equipment, pruners and telescopic handles, and began searching for the pilot.Following the guidance of the nearby paragliders we found the pilot at 16:10 after about a 2 km hike.

2017. május 28-án vasárnap - gyönyörű időben, mely kedvez a repülésnek - negyed háromkor kaptunk riasztást, hogy a tardosi felszállóhely közelében egy siklóernyős rosszul startolt, és  fára szállt. A hölgy lemászott, de az ernyőjét, mely felakadt egy fa tetejébe, nem tudta leszedni.  Délután 3 óra előtt újabb információ érkezet, hogy egy másik ernyős is eltűnt, nem találják.

A riasztásra három barlangi mentő indult a helyszínre. A starthelyhez legközelebbi parkolóba érkezve parkolóba feltűnt egy rendőrautó is, akik az eltűnt ernyős felől érdeklődtek. A fára szállt hölgy kicsit később arról tájékoztatta a rendőrséget, hogy szerencsére jelentkezett a másik pórul járt ernyős is, így nem kell a rendőrségnek beavatkoznia.

Az ernyő a környék legmagasabb fáján akadt meg, ráadásul itt kezdett meredek lenni a terep és a fa nagyon húzott a lejtő felé. A fát kikötve, és kötéltechnikát használva sikerült a beülőt, majd az ernyőt is lebontani épségben a fa csúcsáról, este hat óra után nem sokkal. Szerencsére a helyszínen személyi sérülés nem történt.

Szeptember elején, mikor még nem köszöntött be az ősz, a nappalok rövidebbek, de a délutáni napsütés még kiváló alkalmat teremt a repüléshez.

2016. szeptember 4-én a Kesztölci Kétágú-hegy kedvelt siklóernyős starthelyénél jópáran kihasználták a kedvező időjárást. Sajnos a felszállás nem mindenkinek sikerült szerencsésen, egy fiatal hölgy startolás után közvetlenül a legelső fára akadt fel ernyőjével. Társai a korábbi gyakorlatnak megfelelően riasztották a BMSz-t. A riasztás dél előtt pár percel történt, majd két fő barlangi mentő délután 1 óra után nemsokkal megérkezett a helyszínre.

Addigra a hölgy pilóta le tudott mászni, hiszen a beülő nem volt túl magasan a fán. Barlangi mentőink a fennakadt ernyőt szakszerűen leszedték a fáról, majd fél háromra levonultak a területről.
